With the arrival of June, waxberries grown in Shushan village, Suzhou New District, are becoming available!
Each of the Shushan-grown fruit is round and large, weighing about 15 grams. They are popular for their refreshing sweet and sour taste, as well as rich nutrition.

Shushan waxberries, originally called "Chuishan" waxberries, have a history of over 400 years. There are two types. The pale yellow one, which is special to Shushan village, is sweeter than the dark reddish-purple one.
Shushan waxberries were awarded the registration certificate of the Agro-product Geographical Indications by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, becoming the first product awarded with this designation in SND.
