Shanxi tastes showcased at China Food Expo

Shanxi province's 32 brand food enterprises promoted their products at the 2023 China Food Expo in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on June 3-5. 

At the exhibition area for Shanxi, the province's mature vinegar, wine, and millet were among the most popular items among visitors. 

In addition, local specialties in six categories, including meat, oil, milk, medicine, and drinks, drew much attention, with coarse cereals, beef and mutton, and Chinese medicinal materials among the main materials. 

This year's three-day expo has attracted over 900 industrial food exhibitors with around 7,000 exhibits. 

The Shanxi trading delegation organized and participated in a series of activities such as the opening ceremony, a food industry high-quality development forum, and a Shanxi-Hubei cooperation and exchange matchmaking meeting. It also visited local enterprises in Wuhan. 

According to the Shanxi Department of Commerce, through taking part in the event, the province aimed to achieve production, supply and marketing cooperation and promote the high-quality development of the food industry.
