A cycling team from Quzhou, Zhejiang province recently set off from Beijing and rode along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to Quzhou. The ride took 28 days and covered more than 2,000 kilometers.

The team of seven members, with an average age of 64, traveled through mountains and rivers in a low-carbon way to welcome the Asian Games.

The team members enjoyed the journey. "A good attitude is an essential part of beautiful and extraordinary experiences," said Wang Yanfei.

During their ride to Xuzhou, they encountered hailstones that disrupted their itinerary. But they visited places like Meng Temple and Meng Mansion that were not included in their original itinerary during their temporary stay in Zoucheng.

The ride was long and their tires went flat multiple times. But Bai Xue is good at repairing tires and teaches everyone how to mend them. "Every one of us has learned how to fix a tire. We can all fix one in 15 minutes," Wang said, proud of her newfound skills.

After 24 days of cycling, they finally arrived at Gongchen Bridge in Hangzhou, the end point of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal cycling tour. Four days later, they returned to Quzhou, completing the journey successfully.
