A national dairy industry intellectual property operation center is to be developed in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, under the approval of the National Intellectual Property Administration.
At present, there are a total of 36 national industry intellectual property operation centers approved across the country.
In May 2022, the Market Supervision Administration of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region established the regional dairy industry intellectual property operation center. They applied to the National Intellectual Property Administration by December to build a national intellectual property operation center.
Since its establishment, the administration guided Inner Mongolia Dairy Technology Research Institute to develop the "Dairy Industry Intellectual Property Operation Center Program." It allocated funds to support the integration of dairy enterprises inside and outside the autonomous region to carry out intellectual property operations for three years.
By the end of May 2023, the diligent efforts of the operation center have resulted in the formation of an impressive array of 580, of which 225 are invention patents. Additionally, the center has diligently processed a staggering total of 1,600 trademark applications. These remarkable accomplishments in the realm of intellectual property cover diverse technical domains that are closely intertwined with the dairy industry. The diverse areas covered include dairy processing techniques, dairy cattle breeding and reproduction methodologies, forage breeding and feed processing innovations, as well as groundbreaking research pertaining to the efficacy of milk components.
From 2023 to 2024, the operation center will focus on developing operational capabilities.
