An international talent community was launched in Haimen district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on May 26, local media reported.
The community, located in the district's downtown area, is part of efforts by authorities to attract more quality projects and high-caliber talent to the district, said a local official.
Authorities have over the past few years taken a series of measures, including rolling out favorable policies and providing housing subsidies, to create a conducive environment for those looking to pursue innovation and start businesses in the district.
Authorities have provided 4,869 talent apartments, assisted more than 80 top talents in dealing with household registration, and offered educational opportunities to 30 children of talent.
Representatives of top talent said that they appreciate the help of the local government, which has alleviated their worries and allowed them to focus more on pursuing innovation in the district.
