A new alliance for the coordinated development of basic education in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region aims to carry out in-depth cooperation and exchanges by its school members and share high-quality educational resources.
Initiated by the Shijiazhuang Foreign Language Education Group, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Basic Education Alliance began with 12 primary and secondary schools in the region.
It will be guided by the Mingyuan Institute of Education, a nonprofit professional institution based in Beijing that specializes in educational research and service.
Of the 12 member schools, four are from Beijing, four from Tianjin and four from Hebei, including the High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University, Tianjin Yaohua High School and Shijiazhuang Foreign Language Education Group, which is based in Shijiazhuang and manages four other schools covering education from kindergarten to senior high school.
Other primary and secondary schools in the region can apply to join the alliance in the future, according to the alliance's constitution, which was approved by the members on Saturday.
Members will jointly explore the reform and innovation of basic education, improve their management ability and help promote the high-quality and balanced development of basic education in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
