Shanxi advances 5G, intelligent manufacturing development

North China's Shanxi province gave a briefing on its development in 5G infrastructure construction, the development of the industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing at a press conference on May 22. 

So far, Shanxi has built 76,000 5G base stations, and 53 coal mines have carried out 5G-based underground application practices. 

The province has built more than 60 industrial internet platforms, and seven secondary nodes of industrial internet identification resolution have been docked with the national top nodes, covering the coal, logistics, machinery manufacturing, bio-based materials, and liquor industries.

There has been one national intelligent manufacturing benchmarking enterprise, six national pilot demonstration projects of intelligent manufacturing, six national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories, 29 provincial intelligent manufacturing benchmarking projects, and 193 provincial pilot demonstration enterprises for intelligent manufacturing.
