The 3rd South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair will be held in Kunming, Yunnan province, from Aug 25 to 29, 2021.
The South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) is held in Kunming, in South China’s Yunnan province, every two years, playing an increasingly important role in boosting regional economic ties.
The event is jointly hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce, the South Asian Chamber of Commerce, the ASEAN-China Centre, and the China-South Asia Expo secretariat.
As a cooperative platform for countries involved in the BRI, especially those in South Asia and Southeast Asia, the expo aims to forge practical collaborations in the areas of connectivity, trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges.
The event is also committed to strengthening policy communication, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, and financing between China and countries and regions worldwide, as well as promoting cooperation between countries and regions along the BRI.
The 2nd SSACEIF was held in Kunming from June 12 to 18, 2019. Representatives from more than 3,300 enterprises in 74 countries and regions, China's 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as deputies of international organizations, had attended the expo in 2019.
Exhibitors from a variety of industries and regions displayed their products, technologies, solutions and services in 17 exhibition halls with a total area of 170,000 square meters. Agreements on 407 projects were signed during the expo, with a total value of 609.3 billion yuan ($88.78 billion).
