The Inner Mongolia Museum, founded in 1957, is the largest comprehensive museum in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The museum boasts a collection of more than 150,000 items in its four-story main structure, including fossils, Qidan (an ancient nationality in China) cultural relics, and cultural relics of the Mongolian ethnic group.

The items reflect hundreds of millions of years of ecological, geological, and paleontological changes and the development of civilizations on its grasslands.

The most important item is the exquisite Golden Crown of the Xiongnu dating back to the Warring States Period (475–221 BC).
