A single long scroll of paintings by She ethnic group artists will be exhibited at the Asian Games Village at the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in mid-June.
The scroll, measuring 6 meters long and 80 centimeters wide, was created by 10 painters from Jingning She autonomous county in Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province. It took them more than 40 days to complete.
The work features seven scenes from the She ethnic group's traditional cultural activities, such as weaving ribbons and dragon dancing.
Shang Qingping, the head of the scroll's creative team, said they used red and yellow tones for the whole picture to highlight the festive atmosphere of the Hangzhou Asian Games and to express people's great enthusiasm to welcome the event.
The Hangzhou Asian Games will be held from Sept 23 to Oct 8 this year. It will be the third time China will host the grand sports gala, after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010.
