SmarterMicro was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's Science and Technology Innovation Board on May 16. Its stock is referred to as "Huizhi Micro" and its stock code is "688512."
With the listing of SmarterMicro, the total number of listed companies in Huangpu district has reached 78, ranking first among national-level economic development districts. Among them, nine companies are listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR), accounting for 56 percent of Guangzhou's total.
SmarterMicro is a chip design company that deals with the front end of radio frequency technology for smartphones and internet of things products. The funds raised from this listing will mainly be invested in construction projects for chip testing centers, headquarters, and R&D centers. More than 70 percent of these projects will be built in Huangpu.
To date, Huangpu has two companies that have received approval for initial public offering (IPO) registration from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC); eight companies have gained approval from the exchange listing committee; 10 companies have applied to be listed on A-shares and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange respectively; and more than 20 companies have been filed for listing counseling with the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau.
SmarterMicro is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's Science and Technology Innovation Board.
