The city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – has recently set up a dozen youth talent stations, in order to meet the needs of young college graduates seeking positions outside their hometowns.
The stations offer a range of comprehensive services, including up to 14 days free accommodation, employment guidance and visits to top employers.
They currently offer a total of 218 rooms and 369 beds to house young job seekers.
Under the scheme, within two years of graduation, students not resident in Taizhou - who hold a job interview notice or entrepreneurship-related documents issued by Taizhou businesses – may apply for up to two stays per year, lasting no more than seven days.
Looking ahead, Taizhou city has set itself an ambitious target to construct an additional 50 youth talent stations in 2023-2025.
