Huangpu district recently invited the public to review its newly unveiled measures for bolstering its catering industry.
The proposed measures include a three-year policy to subsidize catering businesses based on their increased annual operating income, with a maximum subsidy of 3 million yuan ($465,116) per enterprise.
The government also plans to incentivize catering enterprises to form industrial clusters within office parks by offering annual subsidies of up to 500,000 yuan for three years. Additional support will be provided to catering enterprises for digitization and intelligence upgrades, with subsidies for those investing significantly in intelligent kitchen and production technologies.
Huangpu's Zhitai Plaza is home to many restaurants.
