Inner Mongolia professor obtains craftsman spirit award

Guo Hongfei from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was recently granted the China Industry-University-Research Institute Craftsman Spirit Award, making him the first in the region to obtain such an honor.

Guo is the vice president of the Inner Mongolia University of Technology and the foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

The craftsman spirit award is the country's highest honor for the industry-university-research institute collaborative innovation circles. A total of 37 people across the country won this honor this year.

In recent years, Guo has carried out more than 50 scientific and technological research projects and consulting services for large enterprises such as China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, and Gree Electric Appliances Inc. Guo has won more than 20 awards and honors at national and autonomous regional levels, published over 70 papers in domestic and foreign core journals, was authorized more than 30 invention patents, and published five monographs.
