China's Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal Government signed a cooperation agreement in the city in East China on May 3 to strengthen their interaction, resource sharing and complementary advantages in promoting the high-quality development of commerce.
According to the agreement, the two sides will accelerate the construction of a new development pattern and deepen cooperation in areas such as speeding up the construction of pilot free trade zones, holding the China International Import Expo, advancing the innovation and development of the service and digital trades, enhancing the level of the Shanghai International Trade Center, and cultivating and building an international consumption center city.
On the same day, the Ministry of Commerce and Fudan University also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on jointly building a consumer big data laboratory.
According to the agreement, the two sides will leverage their respective advantages and carry out research on big data construction, consumption policy research and other fields around the international consumption center city, and accelerate the construction of digital government.
They will also build a consumer big data system in the field of commerce, activate the potential of consumer market data elements, and promote the deep integration of the digital and real economies.
