A lecture event was recently held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, inviting representative figures to share their growth and struggles in Guizhou.

"Before 2015, no one believed that a music festival could be held in Guiyang, but we did it and made the Guiyang Strawberry Music Festival a significant cultural event for young people in Guizhou." Tan Guanghui, co-founder of Shenzhen Dafeng Culture Communication Holding Co, told youth that "where there is a beginning, there is a possibility."

"The Guiyang Strawberry Music Festival has set many records, including setting the box office record for Chinese second-tier city music festivals," Tan said.

Tan did not stop there. He built and opened venues for young people, including contemporary art galleries, art shops, coffee theaters, and the largest live house in the country, constantly exploring new possibilities.

Zhang Xiaocong, overseas business manager of POWERCHINA Guizhou Engineering Co, shared the story of building an 800-megawatt photovoltaic power station for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

With an area of more than 100,000 square meters, equivalent to 14 international standard football fields, the power station is the world's largest active tracking system photovoltaic power generation field and the overseas photovoltaic project that uses the most Chinese equipment.

It can supply electricity for 300,000 households' annual consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 900,000 metric tons per year.

Shi Xuenian, a basketball enthusiast, became famous online in 2021 with a video of himself dribbling a basketball in front of his grocery stall. Now, Shi has graduated from college and is active in the basketball industry, appearing in the highly-watched "Village Basketball Association" tournament.

"Last year, my team and I built a lit-up basketball court in Daling village in our hometown of Yuanjian county. The joy of the children after it was repaired was indescribable. Their smiles were unforgettable."

"As young people, we must do something for Guizhou. I want to do something for our village through basketball and sports," Shi said.
