Data show that over the five-day Labor Day holiday, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, saw more than 50 sales promotion activities held, bringing over 30 million yuan ($4.34 million) in consumption.
The Longling Mountain Ecological Park, for example, attracted some 28,000 tourists during the break. They came to appreciate its tea gardens, forests, lotus ponds, Zhuge City relics, campsites and recreational vehicle camping grounds.
To enrich the supply of cultural tourism products, WEDZ's department of culture and tourism arranged 57 online and on-site activities, which were enjoyed by about 50,000 people.
On the morning of April 29 – the first day of the holiday – the 2023 Wuhan-Ezhou-Huangshi-Huanggang Table Tennis competition kicked off at the zone, gathering table tennis players and fans from 19 cities.
