The 2023 land investment and promotion conference for the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) was held on April 27, in which 12 renowned enterprises including Vanke and China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co, became the zone's city construction partners (city partners).
The event also invited more than 200 industry insiders, experts, and representatives from leading companies.

In its future blueprint, the zone will consist of one central city, three industry-city integrated areas, and seven special industrial parks.
The central city will be mainly based on Junshan New City, and the three industry-city integrated areas refer to the Zhuankou area, Shamao area, and Xianghong area.
Zhuankou area will mainly focus on developing its smart manufacturing, innovation and incubation capabilities, while also providing public services. Shamao area will mainly focus on automobile manufacturing and general aviation. Xianghong area will be constructed into a tourism area with picturesque natural beauty.
A total of 10 areas of land were promoted during the conference, including 106.67 hectares of land designated for residential use, and 26.67 hectares designated for commercial use. They are distributed in Junshan New City and several of the zone's industrial parks.
