Yixian county set to open new railway station

Yixian county in Huangshan city will soon open two high-speed railway routes with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and the new Yixiandong Railway Station, local media reported.

Construction on the station began in June 2021 and it will be the interchange station for the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway and the Chizhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway.

On a site covering 1.2 hectares, the station is about 1 kilometers from the Shilin scenic area, about 3 km from the Xidi Ancient Residence Scenic Area, about 15 km from the Hongcun Ancient Residence Scenic Area and about 10 km from the Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area.

Inside it, emblematic Huizhou-style architectural elements can be seen everywhere, including arched ticket gates, self-service areas with iconic horse head-shaped walls and brick carvings.
