Hunan Ethnic Games underway

The 10th Hunan Traditional Games for Ethnic Nationalities began Wednesday in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County in central China's Hunan Province.

Over 2,000 athletes from 31 delegations will compete in the Games, which includes both competitive and demonstration events.

Competitive events feature running on stilts, swinging, board-shoe racing, archery, and other popular traditional sports. The demonstration events consist of 58 performance programs, covering competitive, technical, and comprehensive categories.

The Hunan Traditional Games for Ethnic Nationalities, taking place every four years, will run until April 23.
