Feicheng boosts peach culture industries

A national peach wood tourism products creative design competition and awards ceremony were held in Feicheng, a county-level city in Tai'an, Shandong province, on April 11.

More than 3,000 entries from over 200 companies and individual participants from over 20 provinces and cities nationwide were exhibited and evaluated. The competition awarded one special award, 10 gold prizes, 16 silver prizes, 26 bronze prizes, and 60 awards of merits.

The competition emphasized traditional peach wood carving handicrafts to boost the creative transformation and innovative development of peach culture.

In recent years, Feicheng has been bolstering efforts to make full use of its rich peach culture resources to develop peach wood-made tourism products. It has achieved fruitful results in design, research and development, process innovation, as well as market exploration for these products.
