The 21st Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (the CIEP) and the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, kicked off in Shenzhen and Guangzhou respectively on April 15. The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) sent delegations to participate in both international events for talent and trade.
A total of 948 professional teams and organizations from 28 countries and regions attended the CIEP. The Hubei exhibition area introduced the valley's major scientific infrastructure, provincial laboratories, national innovation centers, new-type research institutions, and frontier sci-tech platforms.
The OVC delegation that was sent to the conference consisted of representatives from talent service agencies, incubators and sci-tech firms. About 50 mid- and high-end positions were released, covering fields of medical equipment, IC, AI, big data, and biomedicine. The valley plans to recruit nearly 100 talents through the conference, with their average annual pay that exceeds 500,000 yuan ($72,800).
These positions have attracted candidates from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Singapore.
