North China's Shanxi province recently issued a plan for the digital upgrading of local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Shanxi will choose small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in key industrial chains or characteristic industrial clusters of subdivided industries that are included in local industrial development plans and have strong upgrading potential. It will also give priority to high-quality SMEs with strong willingness to evolve and stable operations in digital transformation.
The province will offer key support to these enterprises in terms of technical personnel, office space, and raw materials for production, and will encourage them to promote digital applications in R&D design, manufacturing, operation management, sales and services.
By the end of 2023, Shanxi will arrange for more than 20 industrial internet platforms and digital transformation service providers to provide digital transformation evaluation and diagnostic services and solutions for at least 200 SMEs.
