Huangpu attracts 10b yuan solar cell project

Huangpu has attracted TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology's solar cell project, which has an investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion).

This is Guangzhou's first large-scale photovoltaic manufacturing project. TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology will invest 10.6 billion yuan into the Guangzhou Development Zone to build its 25GW solar cell industry 4.0 smart factory project. The factory will mainly produce G12 N-type TOPCon batteries, and will have an estimated output value of 16 billion yuan.

As a listed subsidiary of TCL Technology, TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology is one of the earliest enterprises to engage in the photovoltaic industry in China, and it is the world's largest photovoltaic monocrystalline silicon chip exporter.

The project is invested in and will be constructed by TCL Technology. It will introduce advanced N-type G12 TOPCon battery technology with a high conversion rate to the Guangzhou Development Zone.

Through the in-depth development of equipment automation and the application of digital technology, this project will realize automatic and intelligent production, become a benchmark for smart and green factories, reduce production costs, and improve production efficiency.

Construction is expected to start before the end of June 2023 and be completed and operational by 2024.
