Dafangqiao village, located in the Hongshan sub-district of Wuxi New District (WND), was recently included in the Chinese traditional villages list.
Established during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the village is home to many historical buildings, including 30 residential houses dating back to the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a 400-meter street with more than 100 years of history, and 13 barns built in the early 1970s.
Dafangqiao has been actively promoting the integrated development of agriculture and tourism in recent years. For example, it has held a variety of cultural activities and tourism festivals at its Hongxin Lixiang Garden, where more than 2,000 pear trees are growing, and the Laomotu Farm which produces high-quality grapes.
