The Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ) recently ramped up efforts to recruit college graduates by utilizing online platforms.
On March 31, it held a livestreaming session introducing various job openings at 20 outstanding companies in the Sino-German Ecopark in the Qingdao FTZ, with recruiters working online to chat with applicants.
The online recruitment activity helped connect the recruiters with college graduates from 24 prestigious Chinese universities whose majors are suitable for the positions and many of them reached preliminary intentions.
During the activity, the system automatically assigned the students to the exclusive consultation rooms of the companies they are interested, and the recruiters gave clear replies to key questions that the applicants asked, such as salary and treatment, job responsibilities and promotion channels.
"It helped save us a lot of time and money to recruit in this way," said Gao Jun, a human resource manager at one of the companies.
The activity organizers also introduced Qingdao FTZ's talent policies and the Sino-German Ecopark's achievements to the applicants via the livestream.
