Shenzhen's Hechi-assistance projects achieve significant results

Recently, Shenzhen announced its top 10 assistance and cooperation demonstration projects in 2022. Among them are three projects related to Hechi, namely the Qibailong Chicken Industrial Park in Dahua Yao autonomous county; the Shouyuan Pastoral Complex in Bama Yao autonomous county; and the Yunhai Agricultural Science project in Fengshan county.

The Qibailong Chicken Industrial Park has received 11.8 million yuan ($1.7 million) in assistance funding from Shenzhen since 2021. Under the promotion of the Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation team, Qibailong chicken products have obtain certification from Shenzhen's market authorities.

Since 2021, the cumulative sales volume of Qibailong Chicken in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has reached 13 million yuan, driving the significant increase in income for 731 households in 33 villages and nine towns.

The Shouyuan Pastoral Complex is a benchmark project for Guangdong-Guangxi industrial development cooperation. The total planned area of the project is 56,400 mu (3,760 hectares), involving two townships and seven villages. In 2022, Shenzhen invested 21.08 million yuan into this project.

The project has become a high-end vegetable and selenium rich agricultural product production base. To date, it has developed a 2,000-mu agricultural product industry base, completed aesthetic renovations in 12 villages, and made progress in the construction of the pastoral complex.

The Yunhai Agricultural Science and Technology project is an industrial assistance demonstration project that focuses on characteristic fruits and vegetables, as well as agricultural tourism. It has a total investment of 23 million yuan, and by utilizing standard management, it has driven the development of the collective economy in 23 villages, benefiting 43,728 people.
