China Daily website reporter Wang Yujie will board the China-Laos Railway Thursday morning and offer you a first-hand experience of the roughly 10-hour trip.
The railway, departing from Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, with its destination being Laos capital Vientiane, is a flagship project under the Belt and Road initiative.
The railway started operation in Dec 2021, only open to cargo and within-border passenger service. Starting from April 13, cross-border passenger transport will be available.
