Xi'an products prove a big hit at expo in Haikou

A promotion for top consumer products from Xi'an – capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – was held on April 10 in the port city of Haikou, in South China's Hainan province, during the third China International Consumer Products Expo.

The expo runs to April 15, with more than 3,300 products from 65 countries and regions on show at the six-day event.

The promotion aimed to expand trade and commerce between Xi'an and Haikou, and augment the retail market to achieve win-win results.

More than 100 kinds of consumer products brought in by 24 Xi'an enterprises went on show, winning praise from visitors and commercial buyers.

During the promotion, 15 companies from Xi'an signed a series of supply contracts worth 2.06 billion yuan ($299.15 million) with companies in Haikou and other places.
