The Nanming Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Nanming district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was officially opened to the public on April 9.
The opening marked that Nanming district has achieved full coverage of its TCM medical institutes throughout its counties, townships and villages.
The TCM hospital has a construction area of 12,000 square meters, 120 beds, and 146 employees.
It sets up seven first-level clinical departments, including TCM Internal Medicine, TCM Surgery, Acupuncture, Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Western Medicine, and Western Medicine Surgery. It also has four second-level departments, such as ethnic medicine, preventive health care, outpatient and emergency, and hemodialysis.
Additionally, it sets up three clinical auxiliary departments, including its medical laboratory, medical imaging, and medical equipment departments.
The TCM hospital adopts a diagnosis and treatment method that integrates traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. It also integrates medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, rehabilitation, preventive health care, health care, and elderly care services.
The hospital will excel at the treatment and research of common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases, and difficult miscellaneous diseases.
