Hechi's Nandan county will add a 4A-level scenic spot named Longxiang Gaifengxing Scenic Spot. Recently, maple trees have turned red and ginkgo trees have sprouted green leaves in the scenic spot.
"About 13,800 maple trees, 9,600 ginkgo trees, 7,300 ornamental peach trees, along with other flowers and trees, were planted in the scenic spot to repair its ecological environment and raise the location's ornamental value," said Yang Guangji, the person in charge of the scenic spot.
Yang introduced that the scenic spot is built according to the national 4A-level tourist attraction standards. The construction of its tourist service center, stage, folk houses, and other supporting facilities is accelerating, as the project is set to be completed by the end of August this year.
Located in Chehe town, Nandan county, the scenic spot was once the Lamo mining waste area. In recent years, the county has promoted environmental governance and ecological protection to mitigate the damage.
Once completed, the scenic spot will integrate functions of tourism, summer vacation, folk customs, mineral culture and science popularization.
