Wuxi's actual use of foreign capital surges

The actual use of foreign capital of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province surged 133.7 percent on a yearly basis to $1.4 billion in the first two months of 2023, said the Wuxi municipal bureau of commerce on April 9.

The increase rate places Wuxi in first place in Jiangsu.

Foreign capital inflow into the high-tech industry jumped 243 percent from last year to $580 million during the period.

In the first quarter of this year, Wuxi hosted 63 global investment promotion activities, which saw the signing of agreements on 271 projects with a combined contract value of 224.06 billion yuan ($32.61 billion).
