The Restructuring and Upgrading Project of the Chengdu Metallurgical Experimental Plant Co has changed its steelmaking process from the traditional long flow to the short flow, which will help cut CO2 emissions by 75 percent, a reduction of approximately 4 million tons per year, equivalent to planting 34 million trees.
