The Ordos branch of the National Carbon Measurement Center was officially established in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 1.
The Ordos branch was approved by the Inner Mongolia Administration for Market Regulation and is the first of its kind to be established in Inner Mongolia.
The main task of the Ordos branch is to strengthen carbon measurement-related technical research, path exploration and system construction around the national and autonomous region's carbon neutrality strategic goals and policy requirements, as well as help improve the measurement system for peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality.
It will focus on the research and monitoring of carbon emission measurement technology in the coal chemical industry, electric power, building materials and other fields, as well as establish and improve the corresponding experimental technical conditions.
