Where to enjoy scenic views in Wuxi

Every spring, Yuantouzhu scenic area in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, is packed with visitors desperate for a glimpse of its ubiquitous cherry blossoms. But don't fret – there are also some lesser known attractions worth visiting.

The Woshi Zuibo scenic spot, also called "Small Sanya", in Binhu district is known for its sunshine, rocks, and palm trees, creating a strong tropical flavor.

In Mashan subdistrict, people can view vast stretches of Taihu Lake glowing in the early morning light.

The 1,000-mu (66.67-hectare) Pear Orchard in Zhongdong village, Xishan district has entered its most beautiful season as pear flowers are all in full bloom, transforming the orchard into a white wonderland.

Chinese snowball bushes, or Viburnum macrocephalum, in Wanshan Lake Wetland Park have also burst into bloom.

Tasting freshly-picked tea leaves is also a good option for spring outings. The Ganyuan Tea Plantation in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, is surrounded by mountains and rivers where people can sip tea while enjoying the scenic countryside views.
