Qinzhou promotes construction of new chemical material industry chain

On March 28, a groundbreaking ceremony for the refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project by the Guangxi branch of China National Petroleum Corporation (PetroChina), and the methanol-to-olefin and deep processing integration project, which is part of Phase III of the Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base, was held in Qinzhou.

The refining and petrochemical integration project is a key project for PetroChina. After completion, the project will reduce petroleum products by 3.49 million metric tons, while increasing chemical products by 3.06 million tons annually.

The planned total investment of Phase III of the Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base is about 55 billion yuan ($8 billion), which will promote the diversified development of Huayi Qinzhou's olefin products.
