East China's Shanghai recently launched a new platform to provide comprehensive services for businesses to protect their intellectual property rights, or IPR, in the global market.
The initiative – called the Shanghai International Trade IP Overseas Rights Protection Platform – is being operated under the auspices of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.
The platform features a case-based approach, to match the protection needs for rights of enterprises with relevant services. The platform mainly includes five functions:
-- International rights protection guidance and global hotspot cases.
-- IPR overseas protection practice and precise matching.
-- Rights protection guidance by industries and countries.
-- IPR overseas protection Chinese service station.
-- IPR overseas protection online service window.
The platform aims to help Shanghai enterprises to enhance their awareness and ability of IPR protection in the global market, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests and promote the high-quality development of Shanghai's international trade.
