Gaozhou, Huazhou and Xinyi county-level cities in Moaming were selected to be part of China's top 100 counties for rural vitalization in 2022, according to CCID Consulting.
The total agricultural output value of Gaozhou has ranked first in Guangdong for many years, and it exceeded 30 billion yuan ($4 billion) in 2022. Since 2020, Gaozhou has won 28 national titles, including the title of national rural vitalization demonstration county and the title of national agricultural modernization demonstration county.

Gaozhou has built nine state-level modern agricultural industrial parks, and created six industrial clusters for live pigs, lychees, longan, bananas, vegetables and poultry, all of which are worth more than 3 billion yuan. The China Lychee Industry Conference has been held in Gaozhou for three consecutive years. Gaozhou lychee was rated as the most valuable regional brand in the province, with a brand value of 12.22 billion yuan.
Gaozhou was awarded the title of provincial demonstration county for promoting the improvement of its rural living environment. Five green belts were built at county level and 27 at town level. Gaozhou has 100 leading agricultural enterprises, 1,624 farming cooperatives and 4,893 family farms. All of these have increased 120,000 rural household incomes. Gaozhou's rural tourism, e-commerce and night markets are currently booming.
In 2022, the total output value of Huazhou's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries reached 24.21 billion yuan, up by 6.2 percent year on year. It was awarded the title of national pilot county for agricultural socialization service innovation. More than 61.27 percent of Huazhou's administrative villages meet the standard of "beautiful and livable villages".

The annual per capita disposable income of poverty alleviation residents in Xinyi was 16,946 yuan, an increase of 4.49 percent year on year, while the per capita disposable income of working rural households was 21,752 yuan, an increase of 9.25 percent year on year.
