A glimpse of beautiful China: Jiuquan, Gansu

Jiuquan is at the westernmost end of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu province. Located in the national key ecological function zone, and the water conservation area, Jiuquan is the frontier of the ecological security barrier in western China.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress, Jiuquan has fully, accurately and comprehensively implemented the new development philosophy and has made efforts to improve the ecological environment. The city has taken concrete steps in ecological progress
In 2021, Jiuquan's air quality continued to improve. It had 297 days with good and moderate air quality, standing at 81.4% of the whole year. All major ambient air pollutants reached the level-II national standard.
Jiuquan's 11 surface water sections all achieved the assessment target of water quality. And the rate of excellent water quality has reached 100% for 4 consecutive years
Standing at a new starting point and embarking on a new journey, Jiuquan will steadfastly, and fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy. Eyes on the targets and competitors, Jiuquan will vigorously insist on the strategy of building an ecological city and step up efforts to improve its environment for years to come.
