The opening ceremony for the Waikato Learning Centre of Hainan University was held on March 4.
Yang Zhixin, director of the division of international cooperation and exchange of HNU, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.
Yang welcomed the students of the center on behalf of HNU, as well as gave a brief overview of the school's achievements that it has made in recent years.

She noted that HNU will provide a good studying and living environment for the center's students, as well as offer a variety of campus activities that provide learning and cultural experiences.
Yang also expressed hope that the two universities will further strengthen cooperation in terms of teacher exchanges, student exchanges, joint scientific research, and other areas.
Kathy Liu, recruitment manager of the China marketing department of the University of Waikato, thanked HNU for its support and help. She told the students to fully enjoy campus life and study hard.
In its first phase, the center at HNU has a total of 46 students from various schools of the University of Waikato.
