Sanya to promote tourism through exhibition industry

The 2023 Sanya International Boat Show and International Wine Show will open on April 13 at the Sanya International Yacht Center, running for five days.

As one of the sponsors, the Sanya tourism promotion board will invite the award-winning wine brands selected by the Shanghai International Wine Challenge (SIWC) and other international high-end well-known wine brands to conduct on-site display and trade. The event also includes wine master classes, tasting, parties, as well as tourism investment promotion activities, which are expected to boost brand cooperation between brand wine merchants and related enterprises.

The exhibition industry is a powerful force to boost the development of Sanya's tourism industry. Albert Yip, director general of the Sanya tourism promotion board, said that Sanya will introduce or create a number of exhibition activities this year. It will also cultivate more specialized and large-scale exhibition tourism products.

"Exhibition tourism has the advantages of high customer consumption capacity and strong radiation driving force, which can not only optimize the tourism industry structure, but also promote the sustainable development of the tourism industry. In addition, large international conferences and exhibitions have great influence and attract high attention, which can drive the promotion of a city's tourism sector," said Yip.
