Shanxi's safe, efficient coal mines account for half of national total

Shanxi province's 589 coal mines were named as safe and efficient national coal mines in 2022 by the China National Coal Association, accounting for 51.4 percent of the nation's total. 

These mines have played an important role in ensuring that the nation's energy is secure and stable. They have improved the productivity of the coal industry, optimized the layout of coal development and its industrial structure, and effectively enhanced the safety guarantee of coal mines.

These mines have also promoted major progress in coal mining technology and equipment, and led the green and low-carbon development of the coal industry. They were integral in advancing the intelligent construction of coal mines and have improved the modern management of coal enterprises.
