HellermannTyton to build its largest overseas branch in Wuxi

HellermannTyton Group, a supplier of cable harness management solutions, agreed to build its automotive parts manufacturing base and the Asia-Pacific R&D center in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on March 6.

According to the agreement, in the next five years, HellermannTyton will invest over $100 million in WND to bring new equipment and intelligent production lines, and will continuously increase R&D investment at its Wuxi company. The Wuxi company is expected to become the group's largest overseas production and manufacturing base integrating R&D and production and achieve an annual output value of 3 billion yuan ($432.3 million).

Zhou Wendong, deputy mayor of Wuxi, attended the signing ceremony and stated that since HellermannTyton Group began operating in the WND in 1997, the company has made significant contributions to the open economic development of Wuxi. The automotive and parts industry is one of the city's most important manufacturing industries and had an industrial scale of over 200 billion yuan in 2022.

Per Smedsjö thanked Wuxi for its unwavering support for HellermannTyton Group's development in the city, adding that the establishment of an automotive part manufacturing base and an Asia-Pacific R&D center in Wuxi will help the group move more customized products to Wuxi for production and provide more timely services to its Asia-Pacific customer base.
