Zibo city's Yiyuan county recognized for top rural roads

Yiyuan county – in Zibo city, located in East China's Shandong province – was recently accorded recognition for the quality of its rural roads.

It was included on a list of demonstration counties that built top rural roads in 2022, announced by several provincial authorities including the transport, finance and the agriculture and rural affairs departments.

The total length of the rural highway network in the county has  reached 1,901.7 kilometers. All established villages now have access to hardened roads, while over 90 percent of households have access to hardened roads. What's more, the coverage of logistics service outlets in rural areas has reached 100 percent.
