The Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai – issued 10 measures to support the development of female scientific and technological staff at the 113th anniversary ceremony of International Women's Day on March 3.
Under the measures, Lin-gang will provide all-round support for female researchers in 10 areas including funding guarantees, innovative enterprises and talent planning, jobs growth and entrepreneurship.
It will also provide support to boost innovation and entrepreneurship, the financial support system, honors and commendations, construction of platforms and to bolster care services.
The Lin-gang Work Station for the Shanghai Women's Association for Science and Technology was set up at the ceremony. The station will offer 20 services in five fields – innovation and entrepreneurship consulting, housing guidance, cooperation and exchanges, training and growth and care.
In addition, the Lin-gang Special Area also announced a series of events to attract more female talent, such as online and on-site travel activities.
