Shenzhen-based INVT Electric Co signed a contract with authorities of the Suzhou New District on Feb 21.
According to the contract, the company will build its Yangtze River Delta headquarters in the zone. The facility will be the company’s largest industrial base and integrate production with incubation and research and development.
The 1.05-billion-yuan ($160 million) headquarters will be used to manufacture high-end motor product lines and intelligent manufacturing control modules.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials including Mao Wei, Party secretary of Suzhou New District, Huang Shenli, chairman of INVT Electric Co, and Tian Huachen, president of the company.
Mao Wei said he hopes that INVT Electric Co will use this project as an opportunity to attract top talents in the industry, and gather upstream and downstream enterprises in Suzhou New District.
Suzhou New District will continue to provide comprehensive support and help enterprises develop, Mao said.
Huang Shenli said that after the project is completed and put into full production, it will become the group's largest industrial base. The expected business scale will reach billions yuan and contribute to the economic development of Suzhou.
