Representatives from Wuxi National Hi-tech District visited the headquarters of BYD Co in Shenzhen on the morning of Feb 19 for in-depth discussions on development and cooperation.
BYD is a Fortune 500 company with a business spanning multiple industries, including automobiles, rail transportation, new energy, and electronics, and has a well-established industrial chain layout in various fields.
Just over a week ago, Du Xiaogang, Part secretary of Wuxi, talked to Wang Chuanfu, president of BYD, during an online meeting.
The Wuxi delegation then went to visit BYD's headquarters, where they inspected new energy vehicle products, visited the company's exhibition hall, and talked face-to-face with the company's top executives.
Wang introduced the company's development philosophy, industrial layout, and industry position during an in-person meeting. He stated that BYD is very optimistic about Wuxi's development prospects, as the city has a strong industrial foundation and strong development momentum.
In the afternoon, agreements for a total of 12 projects worth over 31.2 billion ($4.53 billion) were signed at a promotional event for Wuxi.
For one of the projects, WND will carry out urban-industrial integration in the Wuxi (Taihu Lake) International Science Park with Tian An Cyber Park Group, aiming to create a demonstration area for integrated urban and rural development with strong service functions, a beautiful environment, and a strong atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship.
