Shanghai is preparing for the upcoming 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, which is also known as Auto Shanghai 2023, in April this year.
Launched in 1985, the event is China's first auto show certified by the Union of International Fairs and has become one of the most influential global auto shows, ranking 5th among the world's top 100.
Themed on "Embracing the New Era of the Auto Industry", this year's auto show has an estimated area of 360,000 square meters to showcase the developmental achievements in the world's auto industry. Events related to the low-carbon transformation of the auto industry and building a cooperative platform to optimize industrial and supply chains are also on the show's itinerary.
The city is also scheduled to host the first Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in June, with an estimated area of 100,000 square meters.
With the theme of "The Road to Neutralization", the expo, held by the China International Exhibition Center Group Ltd (CIEC), aims to build a professional, market-oriented, brand-oriented and international platform for the demand and supply of green and low-carbon technology.
The CIEC Group has more than 30 international brand exhibitions, five UFI-certified exhibitions and an annual exhibition scale exceeding 1.5 million square meters.
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shanghai views the exhibition industry as the key to serving enterprises and promoting economic and technological exchanges.
