Authorities of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province will send a delegation to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from Feb 18 to 24 to seek further cooperation.
As early as 2021, Wuxi authorities started developing the Yangtze River Delta – Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao (Wuxi) Science and Innovation Industry Integrated Development Zone to cooperate with the Greater Bay Area in industry, innovation, and talent.
During the seven-day visit, a meeting on the integrated development of science and innovation industries in Wuxi and Hong Kong will invite influential people in business, education, and scientific and technological circles in the bay area to explore innovation cooperation between the two cities.
Wuxi will also host a meeting in Macao to invite representatives of financial institutions in the city to offer advice on wider financial cooperation between Wuxi and Macao.
The Wuxi delegation will also visit the Hong Kong Science Park, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and University of Macao, ink a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macao, and unveil the city's innovation centers in the Greater Bay Area.
In addition, Wuxi, a popular tourist destination in the Chinese mainland, will offer residents of the Greater Bay Area tickets to 1,000 guestrooms in hotels under the management of Juna Hotels Group and 500,000 tickets to its renowned scenic spots, including Yuantouzhu, ancient Huishan town, and Lingshan scenic area.
