Guiyang, Guian unveil Big Data Technology Innovation Center

The Guiyang-Guian Technology Innovation Center for Big Data was unveiled at Guizhou University in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 23.

The center is expected to provide technological support for the development of big data related industries. It is also tasked to achieve breakthroughs and innovations in key technologies, as well as improve the overall efficiency of the innovation chain.

Under the guidance of the Guiyang bureau of science and technology, the center will become a platform for technological breakthroughs, commercialization, talent training, foreign cooperation and exchanges, and the industrial development of public services in Guiyang and Guian's big data industry.

The center will make up for the shortcomings of existing innovation platforms, and solve the difficulties in commercialization, data circulation, data security, talent shortage, and other issues.

According to Xu Yan, deputy director of the bureau, the center will play an important role in collaborative innovation. It will integrate resources in the big data industrial chain, and build an innovation ecosystem that optimizes the processes from research to commercialization. This will better serve the innovation and development of related companies.

"When built, the center will establish three teams to carry out research on metaverse big data services, blockchain data security, and data transactions. At the same time, it will also build a core innovation platform to provide intellectual and sic-tech innovation support. It also plans to provide decision-making advice to the CPC Guiyang committee and the Guiyang government," said Li Shaobo, person in charge of the Guiyang-Guian Technology Innovation Center for Big Data.
